The Royal College of Podiatry provides ongoing support for your career development through various services and resources.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

The Royal College of Podiatry requires members to engage regularly in CPD activity and suggests you undertake at least 30 hours of CPD a year, of which at least 15 hours should be clinical study. Your CPD should reflect your current and future practice.

CPD activities can include:

  • work-based learning such as coaching, mentoring and discussions with colleagues

  • professional activities such as involvement in professional bodies and project work

  • formal activities such as attending conferences, courses or further education

  • self-directed learning such as reading journals or conducting online research

CPD resources available through the Royal College of Podiatry include:

  • TALUS e-learning platform

  • branch meetings and events

  • specialist advisory groups

  • access to our annual conference and exhibition

  • The Podiatrist (our regular professional publication)

It's vital to keep a record of your CPD activities. The Royal College of Podiatry provides an online CPD record system with features to support recording your development.
