Accessing TALUS learning platform

Access, navigate and track your progress through the Royal College of Podiatry's online learning platform, with modules specifically designed for podiatry students at all stages of training.

The TALUS platform provides professional development resources, online modules and progress tracking to support your studies. Although the platform is likely to be most used by postgraduate and qualified podiatrists, we expect undergraduate students will also find its content helpful as they develop in the early stages of their career.

Getting started with TALUS

TALUS is available to all members of the Royal College of Podiatry, giving you access to continuing professional development (CPD) resources.

To access your TALUS dashboard:

  1. Sign in to the Royal College of Podiatry member area.

  2. Hover over the ‘Education & CPD’ category, select ‘TALUS (LMS)’ on the dropdown menu.

Screengrab of the members area of the website showing a drop down called "Education & CPD" where the cursor is hovering over TALUS within the drop down menu.
  1. Click the yellow TALUS button:

You’ll be taken to the learning management system, which will open up on a new tab:

Screengrab of the Members CPD section of the members area of the website. It shows an example list of current learning, which is indicitive only.

TALUS is hosted on an external website so you may experience a delay in the activation of your account, especially when logging into the system for the first time.

If you receive an error message or it appears as though no courses are available – do not worry! Simply log out of both sites, clear your cookies and cached data (if you know how to do this), then log back into the College website and repeat the steps to log back into TALUS.

You need to manually add any TALUS activity you complete to your CPD dashboard. This will ensure an accurate record of your CPD. You can also include your notes and reflections about each activity you complete.
